FIRST CHANGES - JUNE '23

[Bavan is a damn mess right now. Hazmats are the new black, at least for anyone who has the sense to connect the dots when a nasty, noxious fog starts rolling in and mushrooms start to tear people from the inside out. Haftesal's scientists at least have a cure in progress, but for anyone planning to simply avoid that stuff? Well, it's time for some air-tight precautions.

In this case, that's precisely the kind of personn who helps Ermes on the street. Dressed as they are they must look like some kind of spaceman no doubt, but their motions are peaceful- hands reaching foreward, cautious. Motions to show they aren't armed, they're here to help.

Ermes it seems, has collapsed in front of Liewen Laboratories.

Their boss took every step he could the moment he showed signs of infection.

Unfortunately of course, they can't actually do much to see if she got infected- let alone cure it- so they'll be helping her to a quarantined room inside while offering refreshments, monster painkillers, and most importantly...

A laptop to borrow while she's here.

[Ermes had half a mind to attack these guys at first -they stuck out so much in Bavan that it was only natural to be suspicious- but since she was in pain and she didn't have much else of a choice, she followed along. So here she was, now in a quarantined room. Admittedly, it's not so bad, almost like being in a hotel where she's mostly provided for. Ermes stretches out in the chair she was given and rests the laptop as best as she can on her legs. Now that her arms are elongated, it's a little uncomfortable to try and use a computer but she makes it work. Right now she's just glad to have any working laptop at all.

She logs on to message Emporio that she's going to be late back but it seems that she's been beaten to the punch.

... And apparently she's been out longer than expected.]

That's actually really lucky Ermes- they make medicine for monsters and work with the laptops...I think the only better luck would be if someone from 'Haftesal' found you, but I'm not completely sure about that. They're the ones with the cure for the infection in the works, but they also seem to be causing problems in the first place?

I can't really guess what those will mean...probably something 'animal-like' but that's a lot of monsters. Definitely not what FF and I are though.

Not demon. Demons don't have long arms from what I read. Technically waldgeist don't either- if they said 'horns' for sure, it won't be that. Waldgeist have antlers.

I would say that actually leaves only one option but...Naphil- plural is nephilim- they get a lot taller. In theory, since changes come in pieces, if someone's arms grew before the rest, then longer arms could be a change initially.

We should see if there are any coins around for you later. They have images representing monsters on them, and that might help clear it up.

Thankfully Ermes has done impromptu off-roading before and, despite her car (that was definitely not stolen and redecorated, shut up) groaning and shuddering as she pulls up to the farmhouse, Ermes arrives in one piece. The (literally!) bull-headed woman honks the car horn before she gets out, a grin on her face.]

Uh... This story is going to sound really bizarre without context but I'll try anyway. So, my friends and I were hounding down some bitchass priest and driving up to the Kennedy Space Center. However, the priest had weird powers and he used it to make everything that approached the Center fall sideways. So another car was falling towards us and we had to escape the car but I couldn't grab my friend's hand and a piece of debris knocked me out.

So, when I woke up, I ended up with some good guys who were willing to help me out. Uh... at home I got some whackass powers, so like... I can use stickers to duplicate shit and have it snap back together. So I duplicated a metal harpoon and had the good guys shoot it towards the space center, so when I remove the sticker the duplicate pulled us towards the original. So yeah, me and my friend's dad flew up to the center using the harpoon and I nearly got hit by the spaceship on the way up.
